Review of The Book of Eli

The Book of Eli stars Denzel Washington and Mila Kunis. It is basically about the world going to shit and a lone blind man fights his way across America to protect a sacred book from everyone else. After the war and the "Big flash" all the Bibles were burnt and gone. Eli had the last real Bible.
Eli takes his book with him and hopes to get to the East. He believes that in the East there is a place where people live normally again with water, food and shelter.
He is unhurtable. He fights off everyone he sees and can not die. He is sent from God. He wants to find people that will truly benefit from the Bible and meets a leader of a society who is Solara's father (Mila Kunis). He hunts Eli down for his book and in the end gets the book from him. The book is filled with brail, which fools the leader since he can not read brail. This is because Eli is blind. He is a blind man who somehow can kill and protect everything from him to survive across America. Instead of sharing the Bible with him, he finds a different place filled with honest, good people and recites the bible by memory. It becomes published.
In the end Eli and Solara (Mila Kunis) find a home and survive. Eli dies and Solara takes over his job and roams across America.
This is a very good movie and I recommend it to all. It is nothing like any movies coming out these days.

  1. It seems like a dark piece that at the same time holds out some hope.

  2. Robin:) , this is a very good movie reveiw, and like Ms. Stronach says it holds up hope. I like the factthat he is blind man, and the one guy doesn't know what it says because he cant read brail. Looks like an amazing movie , and it makes me want to go out and watch it now.
